Midseason Night's Dream... or Nightmare?

The conclusion of Week 7 of the 5th season of the MFFL marks the midway point of the Fantasy Regular Season (Augie, your plan is really heading into crunch time bro and not one of us is quite sure about what your plan actually is),  and while all managers venture together in unison into the second half of the season, the perspectives of last night's season solstice are completely personal. A night filled with fun poll making and misinterpreting what it means to be a midseason Fantasy MVP was also marked by relentless restlessness over a Weekly Wrap-Up that was running late (If you call this thing an article one more time Dom I'm banning you from the group chat for 1 day: Darren treatment). Furthermore, while managers from top tier teams could sleep blissfully with the promise of playoffs prancing in their head, managers of the bottom feeders spent the night tossing and turning in a trance of turmoil over Dansky Bowl dread. In order to properly embrace this embarkment into the l...

Week 6: Long Live the Winning Streak

What's up MFFL fans and managers and welcome back to the Weekly Wrap-up that usually gets posted every Tuesday except for weeks where I am too lazy to write these things! (this is one of those weeks. But you can finally stop stressing about how I'm doing Ian because here it is) Week 6 was dominated by the little fish of the pond, who have yet to really make their presence known in the league so far this season, other than from embarrassingly low point totals and crappy records. But this week, they finally showed up and closed the gap on the upper ranks of the table. The bottom 4 teams all united to join into the Top 6 point totals of the week, and the previously 12th ranked RAPOs actually claimed the top spot of Week 6. Meanwhile, some previously top ranked teams faltered and really slipped up as we saw a new season worst point total this week from one of our top teams (Connor thought this team should be ranked #2 in the Power Rankings by the way and was trashing the studio...

Week 5: No Force For You

Hello and welcome back to the Weekly Wrap-up starring me. Can I just be full time commissioner and be relieved of managing duties because this is just plain painful at this point? Anyways, some wacky stuff happened this past week in fantasy: some teams won and some teams lost; some players scored a lot of points, my players scored very little points. Did I incorrectly use the semi colon just now; probably. Who cares; I certainly don't. Anyways let's just hop right into the rankings since I know GM Ian and GM Connor have been oogling over where their team will be ranked for the past 72 hours. Power Rankings: Bigpapihugetime:  GM Kurt has certainly slowed down since his team's red hot start, but still leads the league in total points scored by a 40 point margin. Kraft Beer:  A 2nd loss for GM Ian is disappointing, but that's certainly not due to his WR or RB positions. Newly acquired QB Murray will hope to put an end to his QB struggles. Mr. Nice Guy:  4th in tota...

Week 4: The End of the Beginning

Hello and welcome back to the Weekly Wrap-up, Week 4 edition! A quarter of the Fantasy Season has flown by and GM Brody has still yet to win a game. Don't panic just yet though, there is still a long ways to go until the Dansky Bowl, and sneaking into the playoffs is still a possibility for all teams. Others have wasted no time in rushing out to a 3-1 record. Interestingly enough however, with the fall of GM Kurt and the Huge Times, there are no longer any undefeated teams remaining. This is the fastest the league has ever had no undefeated teams remaining, as other years had stretched to 6, 8 and even 9 consecutive wins to start the season. This will make for a jam packed playoff race as the entire league is separated by only 3 games. Of course this doesn't mean everyone will have the same outlook regarding the upcoming weeks, as other teams are on the rise despite their poor record while some top teams might not be all that their record says they are. And for that, let's ...
