Week 12 Review

Welcome to the penultimate review of the Millbrook Fantasy Regular Season. 1 week remains as the Fantasy Playoffs loom overhead with 4 spots now locked up. GM Ian and the Raviolis have packed their bags, stored the formuoli, and punched their ticket to the playoffs joining the ranks of the Nice Guys, Hoochie Mamas and Scoregasms. Likewise, the bottom 4 teams have all received their invitations to the Dansky Classic and will be using this last remaining week as a tune up in preparation for the challenges ahead. That leaves 4 teams left, each with a single matchup to decide their fate. We'll break into the Playoff Picture in just a moment, but first let's take a final look at the Power Rankings and see where the teams stack up for the playoffs. This segment will be replaced by a Playoff breakdown in the following Wrap-Up reviews. Mr. Nice Guy:  The current favorites for the Championship just proved their worth by winning with 119 points despite a Rams bye week. Good Lord Ravi...

Week 11

Happy Thanksgiving to all members in the Millbrook Fantasy Football League. Yes, even you Dom! I personally am so thankful to be a part of this wonderful league. I'm also thankful for my very first win of the season. It has taken 11 long weeks but it's finally happened. The Fantasy world has returned to its rightful state where the Munchies are a winning team. Well, they've won one game, but the winless streak is over and that's all that matters for GM Michael and the Munchies to take some momentum into the Dansky Bowl. In news that actually matters concerning the upper reaches of the table however, there has been some major shake ups in the playoff race and with only 2 weeks to go, a quick look at the Power Rankings might reveal which teams have what it takes to push through into the Playoffs, and which teams I'm predicting will fall off. But first, some important league news and updates... Trade Deadline- The trade deadline is quickly approaching so if you ne...

Week 10

Welcome back to the Weekly Wrap Up. *Cough* *Cough*, sorry I'm still choking a little from Monday night. The rest of the league still remains competitive and the playoff race is reaching peak intensity as multiple teams must win out to qualify while we have a 3 headed race for the first round byes. Furthermore, GM Kurt has opted out of the opportunity to repeat as Millbrook Fantasy Champion and instead compete in the Inaugural Dansky Tournament, joining Grafton's A Bum and Crunching Munchies as the first set of teams to qualify for the postseason competition. For the rest of the teams still fighting to qualify however, let's take a look at the Power Rankings to see how things might shape up. Mr. Nice Guy:  no questions here Ravioli Ravioli:  GM Ian finally gets his wish as RBs CMC and Zeke are unfuckwitable while WRs Sanders and Edelman are not to be trifled with. QB Cam will be the orchestrator as they look to make a deep run into the playoffs. Scoregasms:  They sn...

Week 9

Yeah bro, it's me again. I'm still around, I guess I win. Except I didn't, I scored 48 points and we are not going to discuss all the issues with the Munchies because I simple do not have time to write a book. For everyone else though that are still in playoff contention, this was an exciting, high scoring week with 8 of the 12 teams exceeding 100 points, the highest amount of the season and 2 more than the weekly average of 6. And with high scoring teams comes big amendments to the power rankings: Mr. Nice Guy:  Consistency at the top, GM Grafton, the people's champion, has fabricated a juggernaut of a team that is sure to hurt people's feelings at the MFFL Thanksgiving dinner table. RBs: Gurley, Conner, and Peterson are incapable of good manners and if Julio is back to scoring TDs we might as well conduct the Trophy Ceremony next Friday.  Scoregasms: Yes, GM Brody's team is the 2nd best in the league. Picture me saying this without stuttering, sorry Ian. ...
